I was recently recommended the book The Rape of the Mind, The Psychology of Thought Control, Menticide, and Brain Washing by Joost A.M. Meerloo M.D.
I was instantly drawn to the title of the book and wanted to read it to see how it would pertain to the current events surrounding the China Virus.
It turns out the book was written in 1956 by Joost Meerloo, who was a psychoanalyst that became fascinated with totalitarian regimes and the brainwashing techniques they would use at home and abroad. Meerloo, who is dutch, was living in the Netherlands during WW2. He was able to observe first hand the tactics the Nazi’s were using, because not only did the Nazi’s invade the Netherlands but Meerloo was captured by the Nazi’s and interrogated. He narrowly escaped with his life.
What I found particular interesting was in chapter nine titled Fear As A Tool of Terror.
“In our era the fear aroused by human relationships is so strong that inertia and mental death often seem more attractive than mental alertness and life. Classical psychology often spoke of the fear of death and the great unknown as the cause of many anxieties, but modern psychological studies have shown us that the fear of living is a much greater, deeper, and more frightening one.”
Bingo! “The fear of living.”
The fear has been so ingrained into the collective mind since March 2020, people have forgotten how to function. They have forgotten how to live. Most importantly, they have forgotten how to think and reason.
As a matter of fact, I just saw this tweet yesterday and it just encapsulates the brain washing perfectly.
First off, “DataDrivenMD” I would love to know what data this DOCTOR is looking at in order to justify a tweet like this.
Second, I go back and forth between wondering if tweets like this are actually real or if they are just used as another angle of psychological attack on parents to scare them into getting their kids poked. Then I go back to Meerloo’s book and it all makes sense. People have become paralyzed with fear. Nothing can be said to them, no data can be shared with them in order to get them to back away from the ledge. They have turned into purely emotional creatures with no mental capacity for critical thought.
Meerloo has some observations about this type of behavior.
“Although most people are more or less acquainted with the concept of regression, of setting the cultural clock back, they are surprised, nevertheless, to see staid men and women lose their acquired habits of civilization in times of catastrophe and panic. I once treated an engineer who had been the victim of an earthquake in a foreign country. After the earthquake, he behaved completely like a baby. All kinds of treatments were tried, but none were successful; we were never able to change his childish behaviour. He never found his way back to normal, adequate behaviour. From that fateful day, he remained barricaded in his cave of escape. It was as if with one blow he had forgotten everything he had ever learned. He was no longer a grown man, a professional scientist. He was an infant. He babbled like an infant, he had to be fed like an infant. Another earthquake victim of whom I know, a professor of mathematics, was found in his garden after the quake was over, half-naked and playing with his child's toys. He completely rejected any recognition of the real emergency situation in which he found himself and regressed to a period of infantile irresponsibility. Such regressive behaviour as a form of defense is encountered everywhere in the animal kingdom. When an organism is in danger, it drops its complexity and retreats to a simpler form of existence. When circumstances of living become too dangerous, some easily exposed multi-cellular organisms turn into wellprotected, simple mono-cellular beings. This regressive process, called encystication may, for instance, take place when the organism is exposed to abnormal temperatures or abnormal dryness.”
Just like when children experience trauma they might start wetting the bed again or playing with their old toys because it brings them back into a state of protection and dependence. They become unable to control basic bodily functions.
I feel bad for the child of the DataDrivenMD. Who knows what else the child is being deprived of because Jorge has become unable to think. According to the CDC children in the 5-14 year age bracket have accounted for 161 deaths. That’s right, 161. The number is even smaller for his child. There is a higher chance Jorge has an emotional breakdown from hyperventilating into his mask and goes unconscious and gets into an accident on the way to the store than the child has from dying of COVID-19. There is a higher chance his child dies of the flu, pneumonia, suicide, shot in Chicago etc. Unfortunately, none of it matters because the fear has already done its job. It really is heartbreaking to see first hand the damage that has been done to people. On the flip side, for every person like Jorge, there is a person who has “taken the red pill” and has seen everything that has gone on and has been able to rip the blinders off.
“Living requires mutuality of giving and taking. Above all, to live is to love. And many people are afraid to take the responsibility of loving, of having an emotional investment in their fellow beings. They want only to be loved and to be protected; they are afraid of being hurt and rejected. We can see this clearly in the fact that so many people embrace so fervently all the limitations and frustrations of life that are offered them-the neurotic limitations of the usual prejudices or the totalitarian limitations imposed by power politics. In his book Escape from Freedom, Erich Fromm describes clearly how the pressures of freedom, when they are not balanced by responsibility and understanding, can drive men into the totalitarian frame of mind and into surrender of their hard-won liberties. Such surrender is nothing less than a slow mental death.”
Nothing else matters to the fearful person other than what can be done for them individually. Their friends, families and neighbors do not even exist to them anymore. The only thing that exists is them and the tyrant. They must beg and plead for the tyrant to make them feel safe, even if that means their friends, families and neighbors suffer the consequences for their own selfishness. They become hostages to their fears and are willing to give up anything to anyone who is willing to quell those fears, even if that means the freedoms they currently enjoy turn into nothing but distant memories for their children.
In a sense it is a noble thing to want. Most parents would have no problem laying down their lives for the sake of their children. Heck, look at all the wars that have been fought to protect future generations from harm. (War is a topic for a different day, but the general idea still stands.) On the flip side, the reality is, as stated above, COVID-19 does not pose a threat to children whatsoever. The actions that Jorge, and many others, have taken in order to protect their kids will end up causing more harm than good, simply because the parents became afraid and were not able to look at the whole situation from a 40,000 foot view. Countless children will never be the same because of the actions of parents, schools and the government under the guise of “safety.”
“Totalitarian leaders, whether of the right or of the left, know better than anyone else how to make use of this fear of living. They thrive on chaos and bewilderment. During unrest in international politics, they are most at ease. The strategy of fear is one of their most valuable tactics. The growing complications of our civilization and its administration make the impact of power politics felt more than ever before. When the totalitarians add to their tactics all the clever tricks that we have already discussed Pavlovian conditioning, repeated suggestion, de-conditioning through boredom and physical degradation-they can win their battle for the control of man's mind.”
Tyrants have a well thought out system when it comes to getting their subjects to believe falsehoods. Again, we mast look at Jorge as an example, the corporate press has made him believe something that is completely untrue. It really is quite fascinating to watch peoples minds change from the sideline. Once respected doctors have turned into a blabbering mess. Unfortunately, the kids become the pawns of the regime. Plucked too and fro with no say in how they are arranged. They suffer from the lies of the regime and the weakness of their parents.
Fear and coercion are masked under the guise of health and safety. For those who think the government and Big Pharma care one lick about your health and safety, well, I have some beach front property in Colorado that I would love to sell you.
The idea has been drilled into the heads of everyone who went though the government school system that they are there to protect you and keep you safe. You are trained to be passive, unimaginative and told to be blindly loyal to authority because they have your best interest at heart. The common phrase, “well the government would never do that to us” comes to mind. Any cursory glance at history will tell you just how worthless you are to those who rule over you.
“A man will often try to hold out beyond the limits of his endurance because he continues to believe that his tormentors have some basic morality, that they will finally realize the enormity of their crimes and will leave him alone. This is a delusion. The only way to strengthen one's defences against an organized attack on the mind and will is to understand better what the enemy is trying to do and to outwit him. Of course, one can vow to hold out until death, but even the relief of death is in the hands of the inquisitor. People can be brought to the threshold of death and then be stimulated into life again so that the torments can be renewed. Attempts at suicide are foreseen and can be forestalled.”
The second you underestimate your enemy, is the second you lose. Nothing, and I mean nothing, tyrants do is by accident. Sure, there could be an outcome they did not expect, but other than that, everything they do is meant to crush you. Believing otherwise is foolish. The sooner you realize the people implementing the laws are also immune from their consequences, the more everything makes sense.
If you think, “Well that will NEVER happen here!”
Well, it has happened here and will continue if people choose fear and emotion over reality.
Until next time…
